imagine that

I sat captivated as Madeline’s story unfolded. When she was only six years old Madeline loved to play dolls and house with her girl friends. This day was different. Choking back her tears she began gathering up her things and left after only playing a short time. She ran sobbing to her secret place. Madeline sat and cried for the loss of her most precious gift. Always before when she played with her friends it was real, but to day all she could do was pretend. Her ability to turn imagination into reality was gone.

Join Tsagoi in exploring the many ways Imagery and NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) are able to provide you with the tools to lead your listeners and yourself to that magic place of “Imagination into Reality”. Bring your stories to life and know the satisfaction of a story well told.

metaphor and more

Metaphor’s ability to transcend cultural differences and present material in an informative and non-threatening manner makes it a valuable asset to teachers, correctional officers, social workers, storytellers or anyone who must be able to communicate and relate well with others. The intention of the “Metaphor and More” workshop is to guide you into creating relevant metaphors, enhancing your ability to get your message across.

Nature is the magnificent metaphor that was so eloquently used by the Native Americans and is still a valuable reference source for this workshop. We all know that throughout history our greatest educators and leaders have relied on metaphor to convey wisdom, values, hope, inspiration and motivation.

Metaphor & More is a fun, fascinating and effective way to stretch your imagination and add the flexibility of “metaphor” as one of your valuable new skills.

after they are gone

Tsagoi often found himself stumbling for words to comfort those who had lost a loved one. He sat in funerals and listened as ministers attempted to find the right scriptures that would assure the departed was heaven bound. The funeral is intended to provide closure, an acceptance that their loved one is actually gone.

As a former therapist, Tsagoi knows the things that must be addressed for healing and allow the bereaved to move on with life. He discovered the healing power of the story eulogy as he personalized character traits and events and wound them into story form. Before entering Heaven (Christian format) the departed takes a look back to assure themselves their family and loved ones will have the things they need. Upon entering Heaven their big surprise awaits.

Actual story eulogies, below, are used to demonstrate the forming of the stories and gathering of content.

Owl and the Anchorman: a TV anchorman who always wanted to do good news. He had an outrageous sense of humor and closeness with his wife and two sons. He died in an auto accident.

Heavenly Jim: A six foot four biker and mechanic who was coarse, gruff and tuff, but had a heart as big as all outdoors. He died of cancer.

Mom: A business woman who definitely left her mark. She was a inspiration to all. Above all she was a mother in the highest sense. She died of Alzheimer’s.

Suits You. It Tickles Me: A farmer all his life, he loved the land and was the strong guiding influence for his family. He died of heart problems.

Charlie’s Place: A water well driller and all round good old boy. He loved to laugh and could play like a child. He died of not taking care of himself.

Story eulogies are healing stories at their best. Add them to your skills.
